1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using LinguaCanada's website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Services
LinguaCanada provides foreign language education services including but not limited to:
- Group and individual language courses
- Online and in-person instruction
- Language proficiency testing and certification preparation
- Cultural immersion programs
- Corporate language training
3. Registration and Enrollment
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to enroll in our courses independently. Students under 16 require parental consent and supervision.
3.2 Account Information
You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3.3 Course Placement
Course placement is determined by our assessment process. We reserve the right to move students to more appropriate levels based on their performance and progress.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Fees and Payment
Course fees must be paid in full before the start of classes unless otherwise arranged. We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and approved payment plans.
4.2 Refund Policy
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
- Full refund if cancelled 7 days before course start date
- 50% refund if cancelled within 7 days of course start
- No refund after the second class session
- Medical emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis
4.3 Late Payment
Late payment fees may apply to overdue accounts. Continued enrollment may be suspended for non-payment.
5. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
- Attend classes regularly and punctually
- Complete assigned homework and participate actively
- Respect instructors and fellow students
- Follow classroom rules and safety protocols
- Notify us of any schedule changes or absences
6. Instructor and Facility Policies
6.1 Class Schedules
We reserve the right to modify class schedules, combine classes, or substitute instructors when necessary. Students will be notified of any changes in advance.
6.2 Minimum Enrollment
Classes require minimum enrollment to proceed. If minimum enrollment is not met, we may cancel the class and offer a full refund or transfer to another suitable class.
6.3 Facility Use
Students must follow all facility rules and regulations. Damage to property may result in additional charges.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including but not limited to curricula, handouts, audio recordings, and digital content, are the intellectual property of LinguaCanada or our licensed partners. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or sell these materials without written permission.
8. Privacy and Confidentiality
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
9. Limitation of Liability
LinguaCanada's liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific course or service in question.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate services for students who:
- Violate these terms of service
- Engage in disruptive or inappropriate behavior
- Fail to make required payments
- Provide false or misleading information
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other emergencies.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
